Group: Monday 20th January Set Design

Cranes hanging from the ceiling.
After school on Monday we went back to Alex's Aunt's house to set up the appearance of the garage that we plan to shoot in. We had to clear all of the things that were in the garage to the other side so that there are no distractions from the action and accidental appearances that make the sequence look unprofessional. We decided it was necessary to set up our location before we asked our Actors to film with us on Friday. This was because we understand that they are taking their own time out to shoot for us and we don't want to waste any of their time. We took some of the cranes to the location so we could tie and pin some of them to the ceiling. After pinning all of the cranes it looked fantastic and we were very proud.

We took some test shots and realised that because of the bright lights in the garage we would have to boarder up the window to prevent the camera being reflected and visible. We boarded up the window with a piece of cardboard and need to evaluate a few shots where we have used the window to create tension in the sequence.
